Kailali, June 9
The Sudurpaschim provincial government has decided to provide Rs 150,000 each to the families of those killed in a storm in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts last week.
Two persons were killed in the storm last Thursday.
The provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Prakash Shah says a Cabinet meeting held today made the decision.
The government also decided to provide Rs 20,000 to each family who suffered complete damages, and Rs 10,00 to those suffered partial damages, according to him.
Concerned ministries have been authorised to assess damages in various fields including agriculture and distribute compensations accordingly.
The meeting decided that the funds collected from other organisations and various sources would be distributed through the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
