Kathmandu, February 23
The Special Court on Sunday has summoned 34 defendants of the Baluwatar land scam case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
They have been told to report to the court in the next 15 days, informed the Special court’s deputy registrar and spokesperson Indra Kumar Khadka.
Earlier, on February 5, the commission had filed the case naming 175 persons and institutions as defendants.
Those summoned by the court include 24 whom the commission has demanded fine and jail sentence for and 10 who have been indicted for the purpose of reclaiming the land.
