3 children killed in Sindhupalchok fire

Sindhupalchok, November 23

Three children died as a cowshed caught fire in Helambu of the Sindhupalchok district on Monday evening.

The cowshed belonging to Sancha Tamang, a resident of Jhakritole, Sursing, Helambu rural municipality-7 of the district, had caught fire from dried maize stems on Monday evening, informs DSP Daksha Kumar Basnet.

The victims have been identified as Manjo Tamang (6), the son of Sanja, and Manish Tamang (5) and Dil Bahadur Tamang (5), neighbours.

Police say the children were not accompanied by adults in the cowshed made of stone, mud and zinc roof.
