Kathmandu, December 17
The Shram Sanskriti Party has suspended Rajkumar Tamang, also known as Devraj Lama, who was arrested in connection with an explosives-related case.
According to a statement issued by party chair Harka Sampang, Lama has been suspended from the post of vice chair with immediate effect until the investigation is concluded, in order to ensure that the probe proceeds without any influence or pressure.
Lama was arrested on Tuesday by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police from Kapan, Kathmandu.
A case had been filed against him in connection with a bomb explosion that occurred on Bhadra 14, 2081, in which a young girl was killed and two others were injured.
