Seminar on ‘Connecting Young Nepal: From Classroom to World Stage’ concluded

A seminar on “Connecting Young Nepal: From Classroom to World Stage” was organised
by LCCI Global Qualifications (LCCI GQ) and Cambridge University Press & Assessment
at the Hotel Radisson, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, recently.

The programme’s chief guest was the British ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn. In this seminar, a panel
discussion was held with highly qualified panellists and a case study presentation was done by
Valley Public High School followed by various awards.

According to a press statement released by LCCI Global Qualification, the seminar was organised to provide awareness about the partnership between LCCI Global Qualifications and Cambridge Assessment English (a part of Cambridge University); to reward its academic partners for their excellent performances; and to engage in a comprehensive panel discussion for exploring key issues and challenges in education and youth development in Nepal, with a focus on understanding youth aspirations, examining the significance of language competence in international college admission and addressing skills required for the global job market.

The event featured insightful presentations by key organisers, providing valuable insights and perspectives on various aspects of education and partnership. Dr Roshan Rathi, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of LCCI Global Qualifications, delivered a warm welcome and shared enlightening remarks. Likewise, Manish Puri, Head of Business Development for South Asia at CUP & Assessment, provided valuable insights through his presentation.

Additionally, Pravin Thakur, Centre Exams Manager at LCCI Global Qualifications, offered
valuable insights into the theme of the programme connecting it to Cambridge English Schools. These
presentations set the stage for meaningful discussions and collaborations throughout the event,
inspiring attendees to work together towards the common goal of enhancing education and youth
development in Nepal as per the press statement.

The event commenced with a momentous agreement signing ceremony between esteemed partners, marking the beginning of new collaborations aimed at enhancing educational opportunities in Nepal. Representatives from the New Cambridge Authorized Preparation Centers and Cambridge English Schools, alongside LCCI Global Qualifications, came together to formalise these partnerships.

Additionally, plaques of recognition were distributed to existing Authorized Preparation Centers and Cambridge English Schools, honouring their dedication to academic excellence and commitment to educational advancement.

It added that the highlight of the event was the prestigious award ceremony, where exemplary partner schools were recognised and celebrated for their outstanding achievements. Awards such as the Emerging School Award, Best Academic Performance Award, and Top Performance Award were presented to deserving institutions, acknowledging their contributions to education and their commitment to excellence. The awards served as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation exhibited by these schools in providing quality English Qualifications to students across Nepal.
