The country is on the eve of elections. The Election Commission has completed all preparations for the House of Representatives election to be held tomorrow (Thursday).
Election staff have already reached polling stations across the country and begun their work. The government has also claimed that security arrangements have been strengthened.

Meanwhile, national attention this time has been focused on Jhapa. In particular, interest has grown over the competition taking place in Jhapa-5. A total of 24 candidates are contesting from this constituency. Among them are KP Sharma Oli, Chair of the CPN-UML and former prime minister, Balendra Shah (Balen), senior leader of the RSP, Mandhara Chimariya of the Nepali Congress, Laxmi Prasad Sangroula of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Samir Tamang of the Shram Sanskriti Party.
At the playground of Saraswati Secondary School in Damak Municipality–9, Jhapa, preparations for voting have been completed.

There are 3,788 registered voters at this polling centre. It falls within the Jhapa-5 constituency. Jhapa-5, which has a total area of 349.69 sq km, has 163,379 registered voters.
