An unidentified gang shot at a leader of the ruling coalition partner Samajwadi Party Nepal in Shuddhodan rural municipality of Kapilvastu district in Province 5 on Thursday afternoon.
Ram Nayan Yadav has sustained an injury on his shoulder.
A permanent resident of Hathihawa, Shuddhodan-5, Yadav is receiving needful treatment at the District Hospital in Taulihawa.
The District Police Office informs that two yet to be identified persons had come on a motorbike to attack Yadav.
Further investigation is underway.
