Qatar Airways says it received three prizes at this year’s Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards.
The Doha-based company has been named ‘Best Airline for International First Class,’ ‘Best First-Class Seat Design,’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ for the second consecutive year.
The award ceremony was held at The Peninsula Beverly Hills in Los Angeles on December 12.
The US-based Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey awards are voted on by frequent affluent international travellers, with 93 per cent travelling internationally on a regular basis, primarily in first and business class, the company claims, “The awards are an unbiased reflection as they are based solely on reader votes.”
The latest awards were presented ahead of the launch of Qatar Airways’ highly-anticipated Qsuite Business Class seat on flights from Hamad International Airport (HIA) to John F Kennedy International Airport, commencing this Saturday.
