Controversial businessman and the operator of B & C Medical College in Jhapa district in eastern Nepal, Durga Prasain, has filed a complaint against the vice-chairperson of Medical Education Commission Shree Krishna Giri at the anti-corruption constitutional body, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.

Last week, Prasain had claimed that Giri demanded Rs 200 million in bribe to grant affiliation to his medical college. Giri, however, had denied the charge.

But, organising a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prasain said the filed a complaint at the CIAA and the Department of Money Laundering Investigation restating the claim.

He warned that he would move to the court if the commission did not settle it.
