Kathmandu, October 2
Police have arrested two people with illegal gold at Chabahil of Kathmandu. Police deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Kirtipur arrested 40-year-old Dhruba Bahadur Darlami of Nawalparasi and Nir Bahadur Pariyar of Baglung on Tuesday evening.
Police have seized 188 grams of gold from their possession. Police say that the seized gold is worth Rs 1.2 million.
DSP Chhedulal Kamati arrested them while they were bringing gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
“We have arrested them with the gold brought from via TIA,” says Kamati.
Police say the arrested have been sent to the Department of Revenue Investigation.
