Kathmandu, August 21
One Indian national has been arrested in possession of one kg of smuggled gold at the Kathmandu airport.
Rahul Remanan (31), holding the passport number V1122890, was arrested after he landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday. He was coming to Kathmandu from Dubai on a Flydubai flight.
After noticing his suspicious behaviours, police sent him to Kathmandu Medical College, for an x-ray examination that revealed he possessed four cylindrical gold masses, according to law enforcers.
Police are investigating the case.
