The Pokhara metropolitan city, Nepal’s tourism capital, is also asking private businesses to open their toilets as public toilets.

This follows the move of the capital city, Kathmandu, where the new mayor Balen Shah has asked the businesses to let their toilets be made accessible to the public free of cost.

The city government in the touristic city has also decided to sign agreements with the business including hotels, restaurants, banks and other organisations to let the public use their toilets, informs its Chief Administrative Officer Balaram Rijyal.

Meanwhile, the government also decided to shift its landfill site to ward 33 and prepare the infrastructures required to operate this.
