Oli’s address to Parliament postponed till Saturday

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli could not address the House of Representatives meeting on Friday as scheduled earlier. Now, he will address the meeting on Saturday morning.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat postponed the agenda scheduled for today for tomorrow owing to the death of National Assembly member Durga Prasad Upadhyaya. After the news of his death came out, the secretariat decided that the meeting would end today after endorsing a condolence motion on his death.

Earlier, Upadhyaya’s party, Nepali Congress, had also requested the government to postpone today’s schedule.

The next meeting has been called for 11 am on Saturday, the secretariat informs. During the meeting, Oli will speak about the achievements of the first two years of his premiership.
