Kathmandu, August 3
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday reshuffled the federal Council of Minister fulfilling two vacant positions of ministers.
His own party’s Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has been made the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs after incumbent Sher Bahadur Tamang submitted his resignation last week. Tamang was forced to resign by the party as his statement about Nepali students pursuing medical courses in Bangladesh sparked a public fury.
Meanwhile, Minister of State Padma Kumari Aryal has been promoted to the position of Minister and has been given the responsibility of Ministry of Land Management and Poverty Alleviation. The minister was formed after splitting the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives.
She was State Minister for Health earlier.
Oli appointed Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal’s Surendra Yadav in Aryal’s position.
Dhakal and Aryal will take the oath of office and secrecy from the President and Yadav from the PM after 4:30 pm today.
