Kathmandu, February 23
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Nirmal Kumar Bishwakarma as Nepal’s ambassador to South Africa.
Bishwakarma has been appointed as per article 282 of the constitution, according to a statement issued by the President’s Office.
Along with him, former minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada and former chief secretary Lok Darshan Regmi had been nominated by the government as ambassadors to the United States and the United Kingdom respectively. Khatiwada’s appointment was made on December 22, 2020, and Regmi’s on January 18, 2021.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has already agreed on all three names.
