Nepal Law Practitioners Council Amendment Bill 2081 BS registered in parliament

The Nepal Law Practitioners Council Act 2050 BS Amendment Bill 2081 BS has been registered in the Parliament. Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Jay Kumar Chaurasiya, presented the bill in the National Assembly.

The bill aims to amend the existing act to establish a Law Practitioners Institute (Lawyers Academy) under the Law Practitioners Council. According to Minister Chaurasiya, this initiative seeks to enhance the standards and structure of legal education in the country.

Additionally, the bill includes provisions for setting standards for the curriculum to be taught by educational institutions that offer undergraduate or higher education in law. This move is expected to ensure a uniform and high-quality legal education system across Nepal.

The introduction of this bill marks a significant step towards the advancement of legal education and the professional development of law practitioners in Nepal.
