Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,309 new cases, 3,844 recoveries, 30 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 182,923 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry says 3,309 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1,878 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 13,144 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 494,122 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 36,911 cases are active currently. Among them, 30,131 are in home isolation, and 6,780 in institutional isolation.

Likewise, 379 are in intensive care units and 78 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 144,978 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,034 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 3,844 people have been discharged whereas 30 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 79.2 per cent.

Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Manang and Bajura do not have any active case.

Over 1,300 people are quarantined across the country.
