Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,313 new cases, 1,455 recoveries, 6 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, September 25

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 70,614 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,313 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 12,262 swab samples were tested. So far, 968,185 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 51,866 people have achieved recovery whereas 459 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,455 people have been discharged whereas six deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 73.4 per cent.

The other 18,289 cases are active currently. Of them, 8,237 are hospitalised and 10,052 are in home isolation.

Of those infected, 227 are in intensive care units and 39 on ventilators.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Siraha, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Solukhumbu, Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 6,400 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
