Biratnagar, May 29
Two persons died in a motorbike accident at Bhaunne, Belbari municipality-10 of the Morang district on Saturday night.
The victims have been identified as Rajesh Dhimal (25), a resident of Sundarharaicha municipality-11 in Morang and Anil Chaudhary (24) of the same place. Dhimal was riding the bike whereas Chaudhary was a pillion rider.
Seriously injured in the accident involving the motorbike (Ko 5 Pa 3599), they were taken to the Birat Nursing Home, Biratnagar, for further treatment. But, Chaudhary died last night whereas Dhimal breathed his last this morning.
SP Shanti Raj Koirala, the chief of the District Police Office, says the bike had hit either an eastbound bus (Province 1-01-001 Kha 3887) or a parked tractor (Ko 2 Ta 8559). Police have arrested the drivers of both vehicles for further investigation into the motorbike accident.
The motorbike was also overspeeding.
