The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast rain and snowfall due to the impact of the westerly low-pressure system.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of light rainfall in the western parts as well as light to moderate snowfall in high-hilly areas of the western belt of the country. Meteorologist Manju Basi says that there is a possibility of rain and snowfall today as the westerly low-pressure system has developed from the western part of Nepal since Monday.

Basi says, “The western part of the country would remain partial to fully cloudy and light to moderate snowfall is forecast at high-hilly areas of west and central part of the country today due to impacts of the system.” The sky in the western part has now remained generally cloudy while skies at other parts are partly cloudy.

Most of Tarai areas witnessed thick fog in the morning and the weather will become clear in the afternoon gradually, according to the Division.
