Kathmandu, August 27
The High Court Tulsipur, Butwal bench, is set to hear a writ petition filed on behalf of Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.
The case will be heard at the bench of Judge Sagar Bisht. Lamichhane is currently in Nakkhu Prison under judicial custody on charges of cooperative fraud.
His wife, Nikita Paudel, filed the writ petition demanding his release on bail equivalent to the alleged fraud amount. She had earlier filed a similar petition at the Rupandehi District Court, which was rejected. Following the rejection, Paudel approached the High Court.
