Road officials of Nepal say the government will request the Chinese government to correct flaws witnessed in the design of Ring Road expansion project.
The Chinese government is expanding the Ring Road of Kathmandu. As the first section from Kalanki to Koteshwar has recently been complete, stakeholders have identified some serious errors in the road.
In the meantime, the Department of Road has said it will launch a study to correct those errors as well.
The Chinese government is preparing for the second phase of expansion, from Kalanki to Maharajgunj. The Department has requested the team involved in the expansion to make the design as scientific as possible.
Rabindra Shrestha, the Department’s Director General, says the Department will also make some modifications after China finalises the design if necessary.
