Kathmandu, January 15
Airline companies could not operate any flight to and from airports of southern plains, Terai, of the country from this morning owing to the low visibility after the weather turned foggy.
The Tribhuvan International Airport Office says flights from and to airports in Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar and Bhairahawa have been obstructed.
Dhangadhi has remained an exception as flight there are undisturbed.
Likewise, flights at airports in hilly and mountainous districts including airports of Pokhara and Lukla are smooth as scheduled, according to the Office’s spokesperson Prem Nath Thakur.
For the want of required equipment and technologies, the foggy weather frequently affects flight schedules in Nepal.
