Kathmandu, January 3
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barsha Man Pun, has discussed possibilities of cooperation for the development of energy sector in Nepal with the United States Ambassador Randy Berry.
The diplomat had gone to the Minister’s office in Singhadarbar on Thursday to discuss various issues of bilateral concern.
During the meeting, the Minister appealed to the diplomat to help Nepal get more foreign investment as the country now had an appropriate environment for investors following the establishment of a stable government.
Likewise, the two also discussed energy projects under the US government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation, according to the ministry sources.
Pun said the government was committed to completing the projects on time.
In response, the Ambassador said the US was interested in investing in Nepal’s energy sector.
