More than two dozen excavators were deployed to carry out the demolition. All structures in the Manohara squatter settlement were razed, including a community school. On Saturday evening, when authorities first attempted to remove the structures, residents pelted them with stones.

During the clashes, 22 security personnel were injured, including Thimi Police Circle Chief Deputy Superintendent Nawraj Dhungana. By Sunday morning, when around 2,000 security personnel arrived at the site, approximately 80 percent of residents had already left on their own.

The eviction then proceeded peacefully on both Sunday and Monday.

Drone footage taken after the clearance now shows the Manohara squatter area completely cleared.
