Biratnagar Warriors register second win in EPL

Kathmandu, December 20

Biratnagar Warriors led by Nepal’s national team captain Paras Khadka on Wednesday defeated Pokhara Rhinos to register the second victory in a row.

Warriors defeated Rhinos by three wickets at the match played at TU cricket ground in Kirtipur of Kathmandu today. Earlier, they had defeated Lalitpur Patriots by six runs.

Warriors met the target of 123 runs posted by Rhinos at the loss of seven wickets while two balls were yet to be played. For the victors, Hong Kong star Anshuman Rath contributed 60 runs in 61 balls.

Captain Khadka contributed 11 runs while foreigner Barar Hayat made 22 runs.

In the first innings, Rhinos won the toss and elected to bat. They made 122 runs at the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Rajesh Pulami contributed the highest of 30 runs to the team.

Rath was declared man of the match.
