Kathmandu, August 2
The government has declared a public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday, August 4, in celebration of the Bhoto Jatra festival of Matsyendranath.
According to a notice published in the Nepal Gazette, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that there will be a public holiday in the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley on the day of the Bhoto Jatra.
The notice issued by the ministry on Friday stated, “This notice is published for the information of all concerned that a public holiday has been declared in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley on Sunday, August 4, 2024, on the occasion of the Bhoto Jatra festival of Matsyendranath.”
