Bangladeshi President to meet his counterpart, PM Oli today

Bangladeshi President Mohammad Abdul Hamid is scheduled to stay busy in various political meetings this afternoon. He is in Kathmandu since Tuesday on a four-day official visit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that Hamid will pay a courtesy call on his Nepali counterpart, Bidya Devi Bhandari at 4 pm at the President’s Office. Matters relating to bilateral concerns will be discussed in the meeting.

Before that, Hamid will have meetings with various political leaders including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. His tentative meeting schedule is as follows:

  • 10:50 am:  National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina
  • 11:10 am: NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal
  • 2 pm: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba
  • 2:40 pm: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli
  • 3 pm: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun
  • 4 pm: President Bidya Devi Bhandari

After the meeting, President Bhandari will host a banquet in her guest’s honour. The banquet has been scheduled for 6:30 pm at Hotel Yak & Yeti.

Meanwhile, Hamid will travel to Pokhara the next morning.
