After Paudel, Gautam flying to Singapore to see Oli

Kathmandu, September 4

Ruling Nepal Communist Party vice-chairman Bam Dev Gautam is flying to Singapore this afternoon after his party’s chairman, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, sought him.

Oli is currently undergoing treatment for his kidneys in Singapore. He is scheduled to come back home this Friday, according to reports.

Just on Tuesday, the party’s general secretary Bishnu Paudel had left for Singapore. He had told the media that he would come back with the prime minister on Friday.

Initially, Gautam and Paudel had planned to go to Singapore together. However, Gautam had cancelled the trip citing too many people would just make a crowd. However, after Paudel reached Singapore yesterday, the prime minister sought Gautam also, according to sources.

Bishwa Mani Subedi, a journalist close to Gautam, says the leader will board a Silk Air flight from the Kathmandu airport at around 1 pm today.

It has been reported that Oli will undergo the last round of plasmapheresis on Wednesday.
