Dhangadhi, January 21
The oath of office and secrecy of provincial assembly members of Province 7 has been delayed as Province Chief Mohan Raj Malla has not yet reached the temporary capital, in Dhangadhi of Kailali district.
The oath was scheduled for 11 am today.
Malla was in Kathmandu on Friday to get sworn in by the President. He was scheduled to fly to the far-west on Saturday. However, fogs obstructed the flights yesterday and Malla chose to take a bus.
A provincial assembly member says Malla is likely to reach Dhangadhi at around 12 and the oath will take place at the hall of Kailali District Coordination Committee at 1.
Malla will administer the oath of the most senior member of the assembly, Dibyshwari Shah, who then will get other lawmakers sworn in as per the law.
