Kathmandu, July 2
Nepal’s main opposition party the UML has called on its cadres to help people affected by the recent floods in Saptari district in southern Nepal.
The party has demanded that the government provide much-needed relief to the people of Tilathi, the area most affected by the floods triggered by heavy rain on Friday night.
The UML has also condoled the death of APF Head Constable Suman Acharya who was found dead in a local stream on Saturday. According to the party, over 1,500 households have been displaced by the flood and are in need of immediate relief.
