
Kathmandu, April 4
The 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) began on Friday at Bangkok’s Shangri-La Hotel.
The Prime Minister of Thailand, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, welcomed the leaders of the delegations from the member countries.
In the summit, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, along with the heads of government of the member states, is scheduled to deliver speeches today.
Following the signing of the “BIMSTEC Maritime Transport Cooperation” agreement, the Prime Ministers of Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Sri Lanka will address the summit.
