3 killed in Bajura SUV accident, including Nepal Telecom Chief

Kathmandu, May 27

Three people, including the head of Nepal Telecom’s Bajura office, died in an SUV accident in Jagannath Rural Municipality–2, Kandakot, Bajura.

The jeep (Ba.5 Cha 2209), belonging to Nepal Telecom’s Bajura office, veered off the road and plunged 80 meters down.

According to DSP Tek Jora of the Sudurpaschim Traffic Police Office in Attariya, the deceased have been identified as Lok Bahadur Khadka, Chief of Nepal Telecom Bajura, driver Karna Bahadur Mehta, and passenger Rabindra Dhami. All three died at the scene.

Two others, Nandaram Tiruwa and Lokendra Tiruwa, sustained injuries in the accident.

DSP Iqbal Hawari, Chief of Bajura District Police, said the jeep was en route to Jagannath Rural Municipality from the district headquarters for tower maintenance when the accident occurred.
