Pashupati Shamsher Rana accuses Kamal Thapa for foiling unity bid

Pashupati Shamsher Rana

Kathmandu, November 13

Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic, Pashupati Shamsher  Rana, says Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Kamal Thapa, foiled the recent unification attempt among three RPPs.

Rana claims he demanded a period of around five days to finalise various issues before the unification, but Thapa did not agree and pulled out of the process.

Speaking with journalists in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Rana said he had wanted to finalise the new party’s name, flag and election symbol before the announcement, but Thapa wanted to announce the merger at first and settle the issues later.

Meanwhile, Rana revealed that the two parties had already agreed on issues of republicanism and Hindu state.

The three parties were together about promoting the agenda of Hindu state, he said, without revealing the agreement about republicanism.
