(Updated) Parsa man who died in Chitwan didn’t have Covid-19

Chitwan, March 25

A 30-year-old man from Birgunj of Parsa district, who died while being isolated in a special coronavirus-dedicated hospital in Bharatpur of Chitwan district yesterday, was not a coronavirus positive case.

The hospital received the patient’s swab test report from the National Public Health Laboratory yesterday evening that said he tested negative for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the hospital has also informed that he was suffering from lupus and his kidneys were not functioning properly.

Man who was isolated suspecting Covid-19 dies before infection confirmation

A man who was isolated in a special coronavirus-dedicated hospital in Bharatpur of Chitwan district has died during treatment.

The doctors in the hospital are still waiting for a checkup report to confirm if he was infected with the virus.

The 30-year-old from Birgunj of Parsa district was referred to the newly established Coronavirus Special Hospital in Bharatpur from the Chitwan Medical College. He died there during treatment at 7 am today, a highly-placed source in the hospital informs.

The hospital had collected his swab samples yesterday and it was sent to Kathmandu for a test this morning.

Meanwhile, the hospital says he was suffering from lupus.
