Nepal got a humiliating defeat in their first match of the second round of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. During the match held in Kuwait on Thursday night, the hosts won the match 7-0.

Nepal conceded two goals in the first half of the match played at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. The hosts scored five additional goals in the second half, without letting Nepal make any point

Kuwait are just four positions up from Nepal in the FIFA ranking. However, Nepal have never defeated them.

In March-April this year, the two teams had played two international friendlies. Of them, one ended in the goalless draw whereas Kuwait won the second game 1-0.

Meanwhile, Nepal are facing Chinese Taipei on Tuesday next week.
