Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says he will not let any flood victim in the country stay hungry.
Visiting the victims recently displaced by floods in Kailali district of southwestern Nepal, the Prime Minister today said the government would not let the victims feel any shortcoming in relief distribution.
“We have managed foodstuffs, clothes and tarpaulins,” the Prime Minister told the victims gathered in Tikapur to welcome him, “No one shall stay hunger. There is no lack in relief.”
He said the government would let the victims establish temporary camps in public lands till their permanent resettlement.
He also thanked people and organisations involved in rescue and relief to the victims.
The Prime Minister, however, spent only 10 minutes with the victims before he returned on a helicopter.
