Kathmandu, November 20

Nepal on Monday shared points with Thailand after their match under the Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifiers was disrupted by rain.

The match played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok was halted after Nepal made 10 runs in 3.4 overs. The hosts had posted a target of 91 runs to Nepal.

But the match could not resume owing to unabated rain, forcing the two teams to take one point each.

In the first innings, Nepal had won the toss and invited the opponents to bat. Thailand made 90 runs at the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, Sarita Magar, captain Rubina Chhetri and Karuna Bhandari took two, one and one wickets each.

Nepal will face Hong Kong in their second match on Tuesday.
