Women T20 Smash: Nepal register second consecutive win

Kathmandu, January 13

Nepal on Sunday defeated Malaysia by six wickets in their second match of the Women T20 Smash 2019 being held in Thailand.

This is Nepal’s second consecutive victory as they had defeated China by 10 wickets in the inaugural match on Saturday.

In the Sunday match, Nepal achieved the 62 run target posted by the opponents in 16.2 overs at the loss of four wickets.

Roma Thapa and Sita Rana Magar contributed 20 and 16 runs respectively to Nepal’s victory. Likewise, Mamata Chaudhary scored nine runs, not out.

In the first innings, Malaysia won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 61 runs before they lost all wickets while they were yet to play three balls.

Nepal’s Sarita Magar had taken four wickets of Malaysia.
