Kathmandu, August 14
Meteorologists have said weather condition is gradually improving in eastern Nepal after the loss of dozens of human lives and physical infrastructures worth millions in last couple of days.
However, the monsoon system is still active in western parts of the country and floods and landslides are likely in this region, they warn.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division says heavy rainfall is unlikely in east though drizzle will continue across the country.
Meteorologist Raju Pradhananga tells Onlinekhabar that it will take few more days for the monsoon to weaken in the west.
Because rain has not completely stopped in any area, the weather will not be completely clear for next few days, he informs.
Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged locals living nearby rivers across the country to stay alert against likely flooding and inundation.
