Wataniya Airways

Kathmandu, November 22

Kuwait’s Wataniya Airways is beginning daily flights from and to Kathmandu from next week. It will be the first direct flight between Nepal and Kuwait.

The flights to begin on November 29 aim to serve Nepali migrant workers in the Gulf city. Kuwait is the fifth biggest host for Nepali migrant workers.

Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal’s Director General Sanjiv Gautam tells Onlinekhabar that the aircraft will land at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 11 pm everyday whereas it departs at 11:45 pm.

For now, the approval has been granted for two months and it will be renewed after that, according to him.

Wataniya had resumed the flight in July this year after the hiatus of around six years.
