Chitwan, May 15
Counting of votes in Bharatpur Metropolitan City has finally begun in Chitwan district on Monday afternoon.
The election officials have said votes from ward number 1, Ramnagar area, will be counted first.
Earlier, the counting was delayed owing to disagreements among candidates and their representatives.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s daughter Renu is contesting for mayor of the city from the CPN-Maoist Centre assisted by the Nepali Congress whereas the main opposition CPN-UML has fielded Devi Gyawali.
