Two killed in Morang collision

Kathmandu, July 18

Two persons died and 21 others sustained injuries when a bus and a van collided in Pathari Shanischare of Morang district in eastern Nepal on Thursday.

Some of the injured are said to be critical.

The District Police Office says one man, yet to be identified, died on the spot whereas Tikaram Thapa, the conductor of passenger bus (Ko 1 Kha 4842), breathed his last during treatment.

The bus was heading towards east along the East-West Highway from local Kanepokhari. It had hit the vegetables-laden van (Me 1 Ta 5391) head on.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Pathari Hospital, Pathari Morang Diagnostic, Nobel Hospital and Neuro Hospital, according to police.
