Kathmandu, October 28
A scooter rider died after being hit by a truck in Morang.
The truck, bearing registration number Ba. Pra. 01-004 Ka 2228, struck a scooter with registration number Ba. Pra. 1-01-016 Pa 8002 on the road at Gol Chowk in Urlabari Municipality-6 on Tuesday evening.
According to the Nepal Police Central News Desk, the scooter rider, 50-year-old Lokendra Thapa, a resident of Ward 8 of the same municipality, died in the accident.
Thapa, who was seriously injured in the collision, died while undergoing treatment at Araniko Hospital in Urlabari.
Police have taken the truck driver into custody, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
