Police have arrested a man for allegedly making firearms at his home in Letang Municipality-7, Warangi Kolaghar, Morang.
Police arrested 45-year-old local Purnalawati Limbu from his residence. He had set up a workshop at home to manufacture muzzle-loading firearms and was also selling the weapons, according to police.
Police said they found one muzzle-loading firearm in his room during a search of his house on Thursday morning.
District Police Office, Morang spokesperson DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra said police also recovered one percussion firearm and parts used in muzzle-loading firearms from another room where Limbu had set up the workshop.
The Area Police Office, Letang, is investigating Limbu, who was arrested with illegal firearms and materials used to manufacture them.
