Sindhupalchok, July 7
Two persons went missing in the flooded Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchok district on Saturday midnight.
Both of the missing have been identified as staffers of Shivashree Hydropower Project, under construction in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Madhav Kaphle, says site in-charge Yadav Prasad Kaphle and electrician Ram Awatar Chaudhary went missing.
Other two persons sustained injuries in the incident and they have been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment, according to DSP Kaphle. They were airlifted to Lalitpur-based B & B Hospital, according to him.
Meanwhile, the flood damaged equipment of four hydropower projects–Mid Bhotekoshi, Bhotekoshi, Shubhashree and Chakukhola.
Police say they are collecting details of the loss.
