Tripartite deal to streamline licence distribution

Kathmandu, September 22

A tripartite agreement has been signed to make the distribution of driving licences more systematic and convenient.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday between the Department of Transport Management, the Department of Postal Services and the Security Printing Centre at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

Under the agreement, data on driving licences issued through the Electronic Driving Licence and Vehicle Registration System operated by the Department of Transport Management will be sent directly to the Security Printing Centre’s system, where the licences will be printed.

The agreement aims to streamline the distribution of licences issued through the electronic registration system to the concerned provincial offices or their delivery to addresses specified by service recipients.
