Kathmandu, June 22
The Joe Biden administration in the United States has announced additional Covid-19 vaccine aid to Nepal among several Asian, African and Latin American countries.
Earlier this month also, the US government had announced vaccine support to Nepal among other countries. The vaccines, the number yet to be confirmed, are said to arrive within June through the World Health Organization’s Covax.
In addition, the White House on Monday announced approximately 16 million doses of the vaccines to the following Asian countries: India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, the Maldives, Bhutan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Cambodia, and the Pacific Islands.
These vaccines will also be distributed via Covax.
