29 Jan, Butwal: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), liaison office in Butwal has caught a sub-engineer at the District Development Committee red-handed while misappropriating public development fund.
The anti-graft body today arrested sub-engineer Idraj Ghimire from Sujata Hotel at Butwal for misappropriating Rs 50,000 from the budget allocated for construction of a suspension bridge at Dobhan VDC in the district.
According to Tul Bahadur Karki, the District Superintendent of Police at the CIAA Liaison Office, Butwal, the arrested sub-engineer has been detained by CIAA for further investigation. RSS
