The Nepali four-wheeler market has experienced a significant rise in electric cars over the past few years. The 2024 NADA Auto Show felt more like an EV exhibition due to the many electric vehicles on display. However, global trends have shown a slight decline compared to 2023. While electric cars continue to lead the way, Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles are far from being left behind. Stricter emission standards have made it challenging for brands to push the boundaries in the performance segment. Still, the daily commuter category, especially the Sub-Compact SUV segment, has seen noticeable improvements.
The Sub-Compact SUV is an SUV-style vehicle less than 4 meters long and offers small size, tax advantages, and city utility. This style of car is most popular in India with the tax benefits. This has led to the production of popular cars from most of the brands. Nepal has also seen a surge in this category of cars with the price tag, features and affordability.
Here we have listed the Sub-Compact SUVs available in Nepal.
